Courses Eligibility
B.E. / B.Tech

Candidate must have completed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology in relevant stream with minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.

OR

Candidate must have completed B.Sc. from UGC/ Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject.

M.E./M.Tech Sponsored candidate must have minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm/ company/ industry/ educational and/ or research institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.

Sardar Patel College of Engineering Placements

SPCE Mumbai BTech Admission Minimum Eligibility Criteria 2022

To be eligible for admissions to BTech programmes at SPCE Mumbai, aspirants should adhere to the eligibility criteria mentioned below.

  • Aspirants must have passed Class 12th with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology as mandatory subjects.
  • Aspirants must have secured minimum 50% marks in mandatory subjects (45% marks for candidates belongs to backward class categories and persons with disability of Maharashtra state).

Candidates also need to comply with the eligibility criteria stated by DTE.

For First Year:

(i) Candidates passing SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognised institution in Maharashtra State;

(ii) Candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/or is born in Maharashtra;

Place of passing of Qualifying Examination falling within the jurisdiction of the respective University area.

Type B

A Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but who or whose Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possess Domicile Certificate.

Place of Domicile Certificate issuing authority falling within the jurisdiction of the respective University area.

Type C

A Candidate who does not fall in either TypeA or Type-B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP.

Place of posting of Father or Mother of Candidate falling within the jurisdiction of the respective University area.

Type D

A Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

Place of posting of Father or Mother of Candidate or the place of settlement of the Father or Mother if retired or the place of last posting if deputed outside Maharashtra falling within the jurisdiction of the respective University area.

Type E

(a) For First Year-Candidates passing SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognised institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area or from Maharashtra, residing in the disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.

Candidate shall be considered for the Outside Home University or State Level Seats.

B.    All India Candidature: The Candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible under this Category.

C.    Minority Candidature: The Maharashtra domiciled Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from within the State and as notified by the Government are eligible under this Category.

SPCE Mumbai BTech Admission and Selection Process 2022

Admissions to SPCE’s BTech programmes is done on the basis of the marks acquired in MHCET, conducted by DTE Maharashtra. The institute also accepts JEE Main scores and ranks for admissions.

Eligible aspirants are also required to attend the counselling process conducted by DTE.
