SP Jain School of Global Management and Grameen Foundation Announce TerraTech Challenge 2024

January 10, 2024 - In an exciting collaboration, the Grameen Foundation for Social Impact (GFSI) and SP Jain School of Global Management (SP Jain Global) are set to launch the TerraTech Challenge 2024. This pioneering national hackathon, scheduled between January and March 2024, aims to unite India's brightest minds to tackle significant issues in financial inclusion through advanced technology.

The TerraTech Challenge 2024 will be divided into four regional competitions, culminating in a national finale. The Mumbai leg, hosted at the SP Jain Global campus, will feature two days of intensive workshops, attracting students and startups alike. Other regional events will be hosted by prominent institutions across India, including IIM Lucknow, IIT Kharagpur, and IIIT Bangalore.

Registration for the Western India region opens on January 5, 2024, and closes on January 12, 2024. Participants are required to submit their innovative concepts online as part of the registration, setting the stage for the on-site challenges. The Western Zone's final round is eagerly anticipated on February 8 and 9, 2024, where three winners will be selected. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

The national winners will secure a two-year contract with GFSI's Scaling program to further develop their solution, illustrating a commitment to nurturing innovative solutions for global challenges. Additionally, runners-up will benefit from premium mentorships provided by academic partners, marking a significant step towards fostering the next generation of innovators and tech-forward ideas.
