  • Geometrical Drawing: Comprises drawing exercises involving lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, etc. Includes top view and front or side views of simple solid objects like prisms, cones, cylinders, cubes, etc.
  • Three-dimensional Perception: Understanding and appreciation of 3D forms, building elements, color, volume, and orientation. Visualization through structuring objects in memory.
  • Imagination and Aesthetic Sensitivity: Composition exercises with given elements, creativity check through innovative tests with familiar objects, and understanding of color application.
  • Architectural Awareness: Knowledge of famous architectural creations, both national and international, important places, and personalities (architects, designers, etc.) in the related domain.

Exam Pattern for JEE Advanced AAT 2024:

The exam comprises a single paper of three hours, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, in English. It includes topics such as Geometrical Drawing, Freehand Drawing, Imaging, and Aesthetic Sensitivity, Three-Dimensional Perceptions, and Architectural Awareness.

Candidates must either secure a minimum of 75% marks in class 12th or equivalent (65% for SC/ST/PWD categories) or be in the top 20 percentile in their class 12th board examination in 2023 or 2023, with compulsory subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Marks Consideration for Top 20 Percentile:

Includes Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, one language, and any other subject. If a candidate has attempted the Class 12th or equivalent examination more than once, the best of the two performances will be considered. Marks from previous years will be used for subjects not evaluated in the final year if necessary. For subjects not scored out of 100, marks will be scaled to a total of 500 for aggregate percentage calculation.
