JoSAA 2022 Counselling: Joint Seat Allocation Authority has released the mock seat allotment round-1 result today i.e. October 22 on the official site. All students must note that the mock allotment is done on the basis of choices entered by students till October 22, 2022, 12;00 am.

JoSAA counselling 2022 registrations and the choice filling process has started on October 16, 2022. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the counselling process for candidates who have qualified for JEE Main and/or JEE Advanced. The JoSAA 2022 counselling will include steps like registration, choice filling, mock allotment, document verification, seat allotment etc. Before appearing in JoSAA counselling, all eligible candidates have to register themselves and fill college and engineering stream choices in order of their preference within the given deadline. JoSAA mock allotment results will assist candidates in modifying their preference of courses and colleges. There will be seven rounds of seat allocation for all qualified candidates.

The seat allotment of JoSAA 2022 will be done based on the merit of the candidates in JEE Main or JEE Advanced and their selected preferences. Candidates who will be allotted seats have to download an allotment letter and pay the seat acceptance fees. Later, candidates have to report to the reporting centres for document verification. Once the documents are verified, candidates will have to report to the allotted institute to confirm their seats.

Along with JoSAA 2022 seat allotment results, the authorities will also release a certain set of instructions for candidates participating in the JoSAA 2022 counselling process.

Candidates who qualify for JEE Main will be eligible for NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology) and GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes). Candidates who have cleared JEE Advanced will be able to apply for admissions to all the 107 institutes participating in the JoSAA counselling process including the IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology).
