Candidates have to register on the website and pay the registration fee to participate in the counselling. The authority publishes the seat matrix for every round of counselling on their website. Candidates have to ll the choices of colleges and lock them in the counselling session. The seats are allotted to the candidates who are eligible as per their ranks and availability of seats. Without the documents, no candidates will be allotted with the seat. So, candidates also have to verify their documents. Candidates can check their seat allotment result on the official website. Counselling rounds or sessions will depend upon the availability of seats in the participating medical colleges.

West Bengal NEET counselling 2022: Types of Domicile – To participate in the counselling of West Bengal NEET 2022, a candidate needs to have a Domicile Certificate of this state. During the registration process of counselling, a candidate needs to choose from among the three options.
Proforma a1: Candidates residing in the State of West Bengal continuously for the past 10 years (or more) as on December 31, 2022.
Proforma a2: Candidates residing in the State of West Bengal continuously for the past 10 years (or more) as on December 31, 2022. He/ she must also have passed the 10+2 examination in the year 2022 or before.
Proforma b: Candidates not residing in the State of West Bengal but their parent is a permanent resident of West Bengal and has a permanent address in the State of West Bengal

For a Domicile Certicate to be valid, it needs to be signed by any of the following authorities:
- District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/ Deputy Magistrate/ Deputy Collector/ Sub Divisional Officer/ Block Development Officer
- Superintendent of Police/ Additional Superintendent of Police/ Deputy Superintendent of Police/ Sub Divisional Police Officer

What is the process of West Bengal NEET counselling 2022?
Step 1: Registration
- Candidates who wish to participate in the counselling of West Bengal NEET 2022 have to register on the official website of WBMCC – wbmcc.nic.in
- By selecting “New Registration” he /she will be able to fill the application form and create a profile for West Bengal NEET 2022 counselling
- After completing the application form the candidate has to choose the type of domicile (a1, a2 or b)
- Pay the application fee online and print the receipt

Step 2: Document verication
Verification of documents is essential to participate in the counselling of West Bengal NEET 2022. Candidates must report to the verification centres with their original certificates. A candidate will be eligible for West Bengal NEET 2022 counselling only after the documents have been successfully verified.
Step 3: Choice filling
Now that the verification process is complete, a candidate can proceed for choice filling. This is also an online process and the candidate will have to log in to the registered account to complete it. He/ she can choose as many colleges/ courses as he/ she wants.
Step 4: Seat allotmentlist
A seat allotment list will be released by the WBMCC for each round. The seats will be allocated to the candidates on the basis of the choices filled by them and the rank secured by them. The following details will be mentioned in the seat allotment list of West Bengal:
- Current round of West Bengal NEET counselling
- All India Rank secured in NEET 2022
- Choice Number
- Name of the Institute allotted
- Course allotted
- Category under which the seat was allocated
- Category of the candidate
- Status of allotment (Retained/ Upgraded/ Fresh allotment/ Not upgraded)
Step 5: Reporting to the institute
Candidates who have been allocated a seat in the counselling of West Bengal NEET 2022 should report to the respective institute for confirmation of admission. If a candidate fails to report to the institute, his/ her candidature will be forfeited.
