Counselling

The MAT (Management Aptitude Test) counseling process typically involves several steps for candidates who have cleared the exam and wish to pursue management education in institutes accepting MAT scores. Here's a general outline of the counseling process:

  1. Declaration of Results: After the MAT exam is conducted, the results are declared within a few weeks. Candidates can check their scores online.

  2. Selection of Institutes: Candidates need to research and shortlist the management institutes that accept MAT scores. These institutes may have different cutoff scores and admission criteria.

  3. Application to Institutes: Candidates need to apply to the institutes of their choice based on their MAT scores. Each institute may have its own application process and deadlines.

  4. GD/PI Rounds (if applicable): Some institutes may require candidates to appear for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds as part of the selection process. Candidates need to prepare for these rounds and attend them as scheduled.

  5. Allotment of Seats: Based on the MAT scores, application details, and performance in GD/PI rounds (if applicable), institutes will allot seats to candidates. The allocation process may vary from institute to institute.

  6. Document Verification and Admission: Once seats are allotted, candidates need to visit the respective institutes for document verification and admission formalities. They need to submit all required documents and pay the admission fees as per the institute's instructions.

  7. Waitlist Movement (if applicable): In case some candidates do not take admission or vacate their seats, institutes may conduct further rounds of seat allotment from the waitlist. Candidates on the waitlist may get a chance to secure admission based on their position.

  8. Final Admission Confirmation: After completing all formalities, candidates receive final confirmation of admission from the institute. They may be provided with further instructions regarding the commencement of classes, orientation programs, etc.

It's important for candidates to stay updated with the counseling schedule, deadlines, and requirements of the institutes they are interested in. Additionally, they should be prepared for GD/PI rounds (if applicable) and ensure they have all necessary documents ready for verification during the admission process
